12 Days of Cocktails & Core Apple Cider Sangria

So What's Cooking? Good Looking? Or should I say " What's Pouring? Good Looking?


Welcome to 12 Days of Cocktails & Core! Each day I will provide a new health conscious cocktail. These drinks will be the talk of any holiday party and the core movements that my girls deliver to you will have you snatched and ready to step out!


For 12 days I will be teaming up with my friends, who also happen to be fitness instructors from Team3xt. We will be Blending two of my favorite things to do fitness and recipes. I'll be providing low calorie cocktails, and my co-host will fill you with yummy core movements. That's right each day we earn it and burn it.


This first recipe is a Honey Crisp Apple Cider Sangria. You can add or take away any ingredients you'd like. Make it yours. Sangria is one of the most popular drink flavors during this time of year so it would only be fitting to have this be our first featured cocktail recipe.


Honey Crisp Apple Cider Sangria


Fun Fact: Although sangria seems to be the new hip drink that everyone is talking about, it's actually been around since the 1700's. Also most sangria is made with a red wine.


Ingredients

4 1oz shots white wine 4 1oz shots fresh apple cider 2 cinnamon sticks 2 1oz shots vodka 2 apples, chopped 1 orange, chopped 1 tablespoon raw honey/agave 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds


Instructions

Place all liquid ingredients into a mixing cup, shake until blended smooth. Garnish with a handful of your favorite fruits.

Earn it & Burn it! Today's secret ingredient is @EllyeWell from @Team3xt she's coming at you with some fire body language. Her featured core movement is Eagle Arm Stretch.


Eagle Arm Stretch


Lift and lower the elbows.

Round the upper back. Stretch through your shoulder blades.


Spinal twist. Rise up through the skull, inhale exhale keep the twist.
